TikTok does not show your account region in one obvious place. There is no "Region" line in your profile and no setting where you can pick a country. That is why so many people search for a "TikTok region finder."
The good news is that you do not need a third-party tool. You can work out your region from inside the app, and you can see where your audience lives, which matters even more for your earnings. This guide walks through both.
Why your TikTok region matters
Your region affects two things that decide whether you earn money on TikTok and how much.
1. Whether you can join the Creator Rewards Program at all. The program is only open in certain countries. If your account is tied to a country where it is not available, the program simply will not appear for you, even if you have 10,000 followers and 100,000 views.
2. How much you earn per 1,000 qualified views (your RPM). Advertisers pay very different amounts depending on where viewers live. Views from the US, UK, Canada and Australia usually earn more than views from countries where ad prices are lower. Two creators with the same view count can get very different payouts because their audiences live in different places.
The first point is about your account's region. The second is about your audience's location. They are not the same thing, so it is worth checking both.
3 reliable ways to check your TikTok region
TikTok changes its menus often, so the exact labels on your phone may be slightly different. The ideas below stay the same.
Method 1: Check whether Creator Rewards appears in TikTok Studio
This is the fastest practical test.
- Open TikTok and go to your Profile.
- Tap the menu (three lines) in the top corner.
- Open TikTok Studio (on some versions this is still called Creator tools).
- Look for Creator Rewards Program in the list of monetization features.
If you see the program, even with a message that you do not meet the follower or view requirements yet, your account region is one where the program exists. If it is missing completely, the most likely reason is that the program is not available in your account's region, or that you are using a Business account instead of a Personal account.
Method 2: Download your TikTok data
TikTok lets every user request a copy of their account data. The file contains your profile information and activity history, which can help you see which country your account is connected to.
- Go to Profile, then the menu, then Settings and privacy.
- Open Account, then Download your data.
- Choose the file format and tap Request data.
- Wait for the file to be ready (often a day or two), then download it from the same screen.
This takes longer than Method 1, but it is the most direct record TikTok gives you.
Method 3: Look at your audience's top locations
This one tells you where your viewers are, which is what drives your RPM.
- Open TikTok Studio.
- Go to Analytics, then the Followers (or Viewers) tab.
- Scroll to Top locations or Territories.
If most of your followers are in the US, UK, Canada or Australia, your RPM is likely to be at the higher end. If your audience is spread across many lower-cost ad markets, expect a lower RPM even if your account itself is eligible.
What decides your TikTok account region?
TikTok does not publish a full explanation, and you cannot choose your region in the settings. In practice, your region is linked to signals such as your phone's SIM card, your device's country and language settings, the network you connect from, and where the account was created.
Because of this, simply travelling for a few days usually does not change anything. Moving to a new country and using a local SIM over time can.
Can you use a VPN to get into the Creator Rewards Program?
It is not a good idea. To get paid, the Creator Rewards Program asks for identity and payout details that must match an eligible country, so a VPN alone does not make you eligible. Trying to appear to be somewhere you are not can break TikTok's terms and put your account and earnings at risk.
Be careful with "TikTok region finder" websites
Some sites claim they can reveal any account's region if you paste a username or, worse, log in with your TikTok details. Never give your password to a third-party site. The methods above use only TikTok's own app and are safe.
Which countries is Creator Rewards available in?
TikTok does not keep one simple public list, and availability changes over time. The program is widely reported to be live in markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Brazil, with some sources also listing Canada and Australia. Method 1 is the most reliable way to check your own account, because it shows what TikTok actually offers you.
The main requirements are the same everywhere the program runs: you must be at least 18, have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, use a Personal account in good standing, and post original videos longer than one minute. Only views that meet TikTok's rules count, which we explain in What Are Qualified Views on TikTok?.

FAQ
Can I see my TikTok region in my profile?
No. TikTok does not show a region label on your profile. Check whether Creator Rewards appears in TikTok Studio, or download your account data.
Can I change my TikTok region?
There is no setting to choose a region. It follows signals like your SIM card, device settings and network, so it usually changes only after a real, longer-term move.
Does my region or my audience's location matter more for earnings?
Your account region decides whether you can join the Creator Rewards Program. Your audience's location has a bigger effect on how much you earn per 1,000 views.
Is it safe to use a TikTok region finder website?
Only if it never asks for your password. The safest option is to use TikTok's own app, as shown in this guide.
